We’re glad you’ve chosen to visit Fairfield Borough’s web site. We are a small community – rich in history – with approximately 200 homes, some of which date to the 18th century and many to the 19th century.  About 500 citizens call Fairfield home. Nestled in a valley with abundant green space, the community is peaceful and quiet, yet the surrounding area affords opportunities for many recreational activities including golfing, skiing, horseback riding, exploring nature preserves, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail.  Every fall a dedicated group of volunteers organizes a fall festival known as Pippinfest, which takes place along Fairfield's Main Street. We are home to several restaurants, and lodging is available in the historic Fairfield Inn, which is one of America’s oldest, continually operated inns. Please come and visit us in our beautiful village.

Our Annual Fall Festival

Held on the last Saturday and Sunday in September

Celebrating our 39th year September 28 & 29, 2019

Fairfield's Borough Council is comprised of seven members of the community who are elected to serve for four-year terms.  Service on Council is both a privilege and a responsibility as councilors strive to provide appropriate services for community benefit and to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all residents.

The Council's regularly-scheduled monthly meetings begin at 7:00 PM on the fourth Tuesday, except in cases where the date would conflict with a holiday.  Council also holds a brief general meeting and committee meetings commencing at 9:00 AM on the first Wednesday of each month. The general public is invited and encouraged to attend any Council meeting. If you cannot attend meetings but are interested in receiving an emailed copy of the meeting minutes as they are approved, just call the Borough Secretary to make the arrangements.
